Years ago, the brilliant Leslie Knope, Deputy director of the Parks & Recreation Department in Pawnee, Indiana, gifted the women of the world a special holiday to be celebrated every 13th of February.

It’s Galentine’s Day - an entire day dedicated to women honoring and celebrating female friendships - the deepest bonds that strengthen us and each other.
Since Season Two of Parks & Rec, women honor our ties every February 13th - the day before Valentine’s Day. While it may have originated on a sitcom, Knope’s favorite holiday, GALentine’s Day, is now celebrated by women in real life - treating ourselves and pampering our friends who fill our hearts year round.
