Substack is full of advice on writing with purpose or intent - but what happens when you fulfill your goal too soon? What do we write now? A brave new chapter.
Your story is incredible, and you are an amazing, beautiful human! I’m humbled that you shared your story and let us be a tiny part of it. Keep on being you, healing bravely, and living your story unapologetically!! 🖤💖❤️🩹
You’re amazing - I take that as such a comment from you. I specifically thought of your support many times. You write beautifully, eloquently with impact.
I would love to connect more. I love your concept and what you’re doing - it’s an honor to be among the storytellers and stories you share.
And if I can ever return the favor and uplift you, just say the word.
Oh Janet your support and positivity always fills me with joy! There’s such a special energy about you. I’m so grateful! Sending so much love, light and ALL the hugs!!! 🕊️💕🙏🏻
Wishing you only the best, Allison! It’s totally okay to pivot, if that’s what you need to do. And yes, writing has been healing for me, too, and Substack is such a welcoming platform. I look forward to reading more of your writing.
Thank you for your continued support and encouragement. If I can ever do anything to be by your side in healing or any journey, I will gladly oblige. I’m so honored by all of this. Thank you 🕊️🤍🕊️
It makes me so happy that my writing helped you. If I ever questioned why I am writing, you answered today and made it worthwhile since my first letter. The most important thing we need to learn in life is that things will pass. Nothing will be the same forever. Bad things go away, and good things do, too (unfortunately), but life is always changing, and as time passes, we change too. I am sending you big hugs and hoping that this path you're on right now will continue for a long time.
Arnaly, you give me the same shivers with this comment as you did with your story. I absolutely agree with you. One of the most powerful lessons I’ve learned is practicing impermanence. You’re absolutely correct: it helped me learn to stop carrying the pain and savor the good.
You are certainly part of the good I’m savoring. Thank you for your words and writing - the world needs it. 🕊️🤍
Yes Allison, we come to Substack with intent, not entirely aware that we carry a seed that is about to blossom, and produce more seeds. I arrived with drafts of a dozen or more articles, and a thousand or more stories. Now every one I publish begets a handful more, and brings me new friends that have a similar experience, triggering community spirits. Wonderful, lol...
Thank you, Jen. Your words specifically resonate to me. I struggled with this during my WBF days and remember feeling paralyzed when I wanted to reach out to you. Now you’ve found me, sent your support and love, healed insecurities- it’s such a beautiful, full circle. I have so much gratitude to you. Thank you, Jen. So very much. 💕🕊️💕
I ❤️❤️❤️ this new direction of yours Allison and I believe, you've gone through the winding and thorn-filled path and have reached a point where the path opens out to a whole new plot of land. It's up to you what you want to make of it. Put in landscaping as you will, messy or neat as you please, savour the labour and your journey.

You made my day today! Thank you. ❤️
That must be a wonderful feeling. Thanks for sharing it, and here's to something you hadn't expected changing your plans in good ways!
Thank you, Mark! It’s been so liberating so get the weight of trauma off my shoulders with the help of this community. Writing heals.
I appreciate you, Mark 🕊️✨📖
And I you Allison 😁

And you inspire and connect so many of us so selflessly! It’s as though your energy flows through each of us
Very happy to see you doing better and better.
You know, I finished writing this and few minutes before you mentioned the anthology! It was such beautiful timing.
Perfect timing

lol I’m so tempted post this thread between the two of you - perhaps I will write something from this. You conjure such palpable images.
That's always welcome 😁 I'll be waiting to see your inspired writings
